Job summary

Kinsley Power Systems seeks a Fluid Systems Engineer for the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center in Brook Park, Ohio. In this pivotal role, you will design, document, and support the operation of the European Service Module Pressure Control Assembly test rig system.

The ideal candidate should possess a relevant engineering degree and have substantial experience in fluid systems design and analysis, along with strong collaborative skills to ensure effective project execution.

Qualifications

  • Perform design and analysis of inert fluid and gas systems, ensuring safe operation.
  • Develop and maintain P&IDs and integration with broader system design.
  • Create and document hazard analyses, identifying risks and defining mitigation strategies.
  • Design systems in accordance with applicable national consensus codes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure seamless integration, testing, and troubleshooting of multidisciplinary systems.
  • Support pressure system certification and resolve compliance findings.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical and mechanical technicians.

Skills

Design and analysis of inert fluid and gas systems
Development and maintenance of P&IDs
Hazard analysis documentation
Design according to ASME, NFPA, CGA standards
Creation of manufacturing and integration documentation
Operational documentation development
Pressure system certification support
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering
Master's degree and more than 15 years experience
Ph.D. and more than 10 years experience
