Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Finisher I for the 2nd shift to remove burrs and refine surfaces on machined aerospace components, ensuring they meet engineering and quality specifications.

You will inspect parts, support readiness for inspection or assembly, and contribute to safe, reliable performance in demanding military applications. FAA Drug & Alcohol Program participation is required. The role offers hands-on craftsmanship and growth opportunities with healthcare and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
• At least 3 months of related experience including deburring/finishing in a machine shop.
• FAA Drug & Alcohol Program enrollment/participation as required for Safety Sensitive Work.

Responsibilities

• Remove sharp edges, burrs, and surface imperfections to meet specifications.
• Inspect finished parts for defects or irregularities affecting performance.
• Ensure components are properly finished before inspection or assembly.
• Help prevent structural issues by removing excess material and defects.
• Prepare parts for next production stages, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
