Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) Irvine site is seeking a design-focused engineer to create, analyze, and release new fastening products from customer requirements through production handoff.

You will own product designs, sustain legacy lines, support MRB, and collaborate with manufacturing quality on producibility and inspection criteria. You will model parts in SolidWorks, run FEA, review drawings and specifications, and interface with customers to resolve technical questions while coordinating

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 4+ years of mechanical design engineering experience required.
• Fluency in parametric CAD; SolidWorks used; CAD tools like CATIA/NX/Creo/In ventor welcome.

Responsibilities

• Design new products and modify existing designs to meet customer requirements from concept through production release.
• Create part and assembly models, prepare detailed drawings, and maintain PDM records in SolidWorks.
• Perform engineering analysis using FEA and hand calculations to validate designs.
• Work with customers to define requirements and resolve technical questions.
• Ensure designs are producible and inspectable; support MRB dispositions and process troubleshooting.
• Plan and evaluate prototype and qualification testing; write test plans and reports.
• Manage project schedules and align internal and customer stakeholders.
