Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Sr Design Engineering Manager in North Hollywood, CA, to lead a team of engineers focused on mechanical design for aerospace-grade fasteners and components.

You will partner with clients, plan designs, and drive prototypes through manufacturing, ensuring performance and quality. The role requires 5–10 years of leadership in manufacturing and 10+ years as a mechanical design engineer in aerospace, with CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and a PE

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably aerospace.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer in aerospace.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.
• Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD/CAM and 3D CAD programs.
• Guide the design team through their designs and validate with tests.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure design specifications are met and prototypes are manufactured.
• Prepare technical reports and design documentation.
