Job summary

PCC Fasteners and Engineered Products, part of the PCC family, seeks a Sr Design Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in delivering mechanical designs for aerospace applications. You will determine client requirements, plan designs, and drive prototypes through manufacturing, collaborating with operations to meet specifications.

The role emphasizes CAD/CAM leadership, rigorous testing, and strong communication with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of leadership experience within the manufacturing industry, preferably in aerospace.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.
• Planning and executing mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs and guiding the design team through their own designs.
• Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs.
• Overseeing the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.
• Collaborating with operations team including manufacturing and quality engineers to resolve complex product issues.
