Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in San Leandro, CA, is seeking a Product Engineer who will work under the Product Engineering Manager to develop new jobs, drive cost-reduction on existing jobs, and monitor production for assigned customers.

The engineer will prepare jobs for manufacture, review design specs, ensure requirements compliance, and interface with customers on product information. Strong experience in aerospace is highly valued.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical, industrial, and materials science engineering with investment casting.
• Experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
• 3–5 years of engineering work experience required.
• Engineering work experience in aerospace highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with die-makers, customers and tooling personnel.
• Review manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain tools and procedures to meet customer blueprints.
• Relay information to QA and production for casting manufacture.
• Prepare and release developed jobs.
