Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Facilities Specialist to support project implementation and oversight across campus facilities. The role involves coordinating with executives, managing vendor contracts, and maintaining cost reporting to ensure on-time project delivery.

Ideal candidates will have aerospace facilities experience, strong planning skills, and the ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment with up to 85% travel and relocation to Starbase, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of facility vendor and contract management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Manager in all aspects of project implementation.
• Create and take part in meetings and presentations with executive leadership.
• Provide campus wide reporting on departmental spend, ticketing, and other metrics as requested.
• Maintain contracts for facilities services such as elevators, cranes, waste, recycling, pest control, landscaping, and other repair services.
• Obtain multiple bids from competing contractors.
• Perform job walk-downs with vendors, engineers, supervisors, and managers.
• Work with the purchasing department to ensure vendors are approved, vetted, and insured.
• Assist with badging, ITAR, NDA requirements, and safety training.
• Create RFPO's and assist buyers with vendor selection.
• Ensure purchase orders are accurate with no cost over runs.
