Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking skilled personnel for fabrication, inspection and precision assembly. This onsite role covers a broad range of manufacturing processes including welding, milling and testing, with emphasis on quality control and accurate measurement.

The position operates on a 3rd shift (12am–6:30am), with training on other shifts for up to 3 months. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) with match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED must be satisfied.
• 1–2 years of experience in quality control and inspection processes.
• Prior use of air tools and fixtures to set up parts for welding and understanding of gauges such as verniers, calipers and depth micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, set up, and perform fabrication, assembly, test and related precision fabrication processes.
• Operate tools and equipment including power presses, band saws, belt sanders, expanders and power shears per methods and procedures.
• Perform resistance spot welding and salt braze processes; operate CNC/NC equipment for milling, drilling and turning.
• Conduct visual, dimensional and functional inspections using micrometers, verniers and fixtures; document results.
