Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a production technician for the 2nd shift to set up and operate laser marking machines, assemble components, and ensure conformance to prints and standards on an onsite manufacturing floor.

You will maintain documentation, monitor tolerances, and identify improvements while handling various fluids and chemicals safely and pursuing required certifications. This U.S.-based role emphasizes teamwork and quality in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent or 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn multiple applications (email, internet, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of hand tools to remove burrs or sharp edges.
• Perform machine setup and runs on laser marking machines.
• Assemble components.
• Read, interpret and understand prints, engineering and quality standards.
• Monitor dimensional tolerances and identify non-conforming features.
• Maintain documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, etc.).
• Identify and report process inefficiencies and machine issues.
• Follow work priorities to meet production goals.
• Handle coolants, cleaning fluids, oils and chemical vapors safely.
• Obtain and maintain required Inspection Certification(s).
• Additional duties as assigned.
• 2nd shift: Mon-Fri, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
