Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and modify machining equipment in Windsor Locks, CT. The role requires reading blueprints, schematics and manuals, plus performing corrective actions to restore equipment function.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Equivalent to 2-3 years trades training in machine and mechanical repair.
• Certifications for motor vehicles, respirators and power industrial trucks are a plus.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systems; electrical control systems; and lock-out tag-out procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, install, troubleshoot, repair and modify machining process and test equipment.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, schematics, manufacturers service manuals; follow instructions.
• Locate malfunction and take corrective action to repair machines and test equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to repair, replace and modify equipment.
• Operate and cycle machinery to ensure correct function of equipment.
• Maintain daily logs and update schematics and documentation.
