Job summary
Collins Aerospace is seeking a quality control inspector in Windsor Locks, CT to support manufacturing of heat exchangers and related components. You will participate in fabrication, assembly, and testing while ensuring precise adherence to specifications.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of QC/inspection experience, with familiarity of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and depth micrometers.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of experience in quality control and inspection processes.
- Prior use of air tools and fixtures to set-up parts for welding and understanding of location gages such vernier calipers and depth micrometers.
Responsibilities
- Plan, set-up, and perform fabrication, assembly, test and related precision fabrication processes.
- Inspect parts using measuring tools and compare to specifications.
- Operate and adjust a variety of machine tools and equipment per established methods.
- Review parts for quality and communicate issues with suppliers and internal teams.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage spaces.
- Assist in audits of processes, procedures and work areas.
- Input data and recordkeeping using shop systems.
