Job summary

RTX is seeking candidates for on-site software engineering roles in the Dallas, TX area. You will gain exposure to systems engineering and how software integrates into product development, turning classroom knowledge into real solutions under mentorship.

Applicants should have a STEM degree and experience with C++ and Python, Linux, and modern development practices. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Familiarity in developing, testing, and integrating software written in C++ and related languages.
• Familiarity with Python scripting and Linux operating environments.
• Experience with Linux, Scrum/Agile, DevSecOps and Git/GitLab is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to systems engineering principles and how software fits into product development.
• Work in a hands-on engineering environment turning classroom knowledge into real solutions.
• Own project tasks or subprojects with mentorship from experienced engineers.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, testing and validation.
• Follow established development practices to maintain software configuration management.
