Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Coralville, IA is seeking a Test Technician to support electrical and mechanical testing of prototype and production boards and systems. You will fault isolate test failures, verify repairs, and collaborate with engineers to identify data trends and improvements that enhance reliability and performance.

You will operate DMMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and automated test equipment, maintain thorough documentation, read complex schematics, and apply basic

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Requires HS Diploma.
• In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must pass the CETa exam from ETA-I.
• Must be willing and able to work 3rd shift.
• Must have ability to read complex electronic schematics, analyze circuits and follow written work instructions.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of electrical/mechanical tests on prototype and production circuits to determine performance and identify malfunctions.
• Conducts tests and troubleshooting to meet specifications including Environmental Stress Screening and Automated Test Equipment throughput.
• Performs maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment used in production.
• Performs testing using DMM, oscilloscope, frequency generators, power supplies, spectrum analyzer, etc.
• Maintains records and completes necessary paperwork.
• Collaborates with engineers to improve test methods and product performance.
• Reads complex schematics and analyzes circuits to follow written instructions.
