Job summary

Ralliant in Solon, Ohio, is seeking an Electronic Assembler to perform complex assembly of electronic components and subassemblies for aerospace and defense systems. You will interpret engineering drawings, hand-load and solder PCB assemblies, and ensure adherence to IPC‑J‑STD and IPC‑D‑610 standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, U.S. citizenship, 3–5 years of J‑STD soldering experience, and IPC certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• U.S. citizenship required due to national security contracts.
• 3–5 years of J-STD soldering experience preferred.
• Certification to IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 standards (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify electronic component values.
• ESD prevention and proper product handling knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; self-starter who can plan, execute, and complete tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies for aerospace and defense systems.
• Interpret and follow detailed visual aids, engineering drawings, and written instructions to assemble, modify, or rework units.
• Hand-load and solder PCB assemblies, including fine-pitch components, following IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 standards.
• Identify and repair soldering anomalies, working with lead and lead-free solder under a microscope.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices.
• Participate in offsite training to maintain industry certifications as required.
• Actively contribute ideas for process improvement and operational excellence.
