Job summary

The Job Shop in Solon, Ohio is seeking a dependable Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble mechanical and electronic components using hand tools, power tools, and detailed instructions to produce quality products in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include reading and interpreting instructions, using screwdrivers, soldering irons, torque tools, and other equipment, and ensuring assemblies meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in manufacturing or assembly is preferred but not required; training provided.
• Ability to read work instructions and follow detailed procedures.
• Comfort using hand tools and basic measuring instruments.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electronic components according to instructions, blueprints, BOMs, and customer specs.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and production docs.
• Use hand tools and power tools like screwdrivers, pliers, soldering irons, torque tools, and other equipment.
• Assemble electrical/electronic systems, subassemblies, wiring, and support structures.
• Install and secure components using screws, bolts, rivets, epoxy, or hot glue.
• Position, align, and fasten parts to complete assemblies.
• Use calipers and torque meters to verify quality.
• Inspect finished products to meet quality standards.
• Label and tag products for inventory tracking.
• Maintain accurate production records and counts.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow company safety policies, ESD procedures, and production guidelines.
