Job summary

Safran Seats USA in Gainesville, TX seeks a Dynamic FEA Engineer 2 to perform advanced FEA simulations and develop robust models for seating systems. You will work with LS-Dyna and Radioss, and use Altair HyperWorks to verify structural performance.

Qualifications include a Master or Bachelor in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering and 2–3 years of FEA experience. You will join a cross-functional team, communicate results, and support design validation and testing.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of Finite Element Analysis experience with LS-Dyna or Radioss and Altair HyperWorks.
• Experience with composite modeling and seat belt modeling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dynamic FEA simulations to assess structural behavior under various loads.
• Inspect CAD data prior to meshing.
• Mesh components using Altair tools and perform quality checks per guidelines.
• Set up static, quasi-static and dynamic simulations (16G/14G).
• Analyze test data and update FE models to improve accuracy.
• Ensure models comply with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and generate technical reports.
