Job summary

Axillon Aerospace in California seeks a Manufacturing Technician to perform a range of processes involved in fabricating aerospace composite materials, including layup, molding, bonding and finishing. You will follow work instructions, maintain records, and ensure material traceability to meet quality requirements.

Applicants should have 3–5 years in manufacturing or assembly, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, hold and carry up to 40 pounds unaided and perform the necessary physical requirements.
• Must be able to use various production hand tools.
• Must be willing to work overtime when required.
• PC proficiency in Word and Excel preferred; email communication expected.

Responsibilities

• Layup and cure composite parts using prepreg, uni-tape, SMC, BMC and dry materials.
• Assemble, demold, and bond components; prepare parts and finish by filling, sanding, grinding, and cleaning.
• Use hand and power tools, measurement devices and equipment to perform production operations.
• Follow written instructions, travelers and procedures when producing hardware.
• Maintain production records, travelers and logs with traceability information.
