Job summary

Axillon Aerospace in California is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform layup, cure, bonding, and finishing of aerospace composites, and to follow procedures and maintain traceability.

You will work with tools, read instructions, log production data, and support continuous improvement; a high school diploma and 3–5 years in manufacturing are required; salary range is $23–$28 per hour, with overtime available.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, layup or composite fabrication; aerospace experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Layup and cure composite parts using prepreg fabric, uni-tape, SMC, BMC and dry materials.
• Assemble, demold, bond components and finish by filling, sanding, grinding, and cleaning.
• Use hand and power tools and measurement devices for production operations.
• Follow written instructions, travelers and procedures to produce hardware.
• Maintain material traceability in travelers and logs and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Identify root causes and corrective actions with leaders to fix discrepancies.
