Job summary

AXILLON AEROSPACE in California is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to execute diverse production processes for aerospace composite materials, including layup, curing, and bonding. The role requires adherence to quality records and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, 3–5 years in manufacturing or composite fabrication, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, use hand tools, and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Required High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, layup or composite fabrication; aerospace preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and use production hand tools.
• Willingness to work overtime and adhere to quality records and safety procedures.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel and effective email communication.

Responsibilities

• Layup and cure composite parts using prepreg, uni-tape, SMC/BMC and dry materials.
• Assemble, demold, bond components; finish by sanding, grinding and cleaning.
• Use hand and power tools and measurement devices to perform production operations.
• Follow instructions, travelers and procedures; maintain accurate records.
• Ensure material shelf-life compliance; identify expired material and report Non-conformances.
• Collaborate with Leads and Engineers to implement corrective actions.
• Maintain tools, molds, machines and workspace; ensure cleanliness after each shift.
• Facilitate flow of parts between operations; participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
