Job summary

Axillon Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform layup, cure, and bonding of aerospace composite parts. You will handle prepreg fabrics and related materials, assemble components, document production, and ensure quality control across processes.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing, ability to lift 40 lbs, and willingness to work overtime. CA salary range is $23–$28 per hour, with a 9/80 workweek schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3-5 years in manufacturing, assembly or composite fabrication; aerospace exp. preferred.
• Must lift and handle up to 40 pounds; able to perform physical tasks.
• Willing to work overtime when required.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; able to send emails efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; organized; detail oriented.
• Able to manage multiple duties and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Layup and cure composite parts using prepreg fabric, uni-tape, SMC, BMC and dry materials.
• Assemble, demold, bond components; finish by filling, sanding, grinding, cleaning.
• Prepare parts; cut, deburr, trim; hand work materials as needed.
• Use various production hand tools and measurement devices.
• Follow written instructions, travelers, and procedures for each operation.
• Record production logs; ensure material traceability and quality compliance.
• Maintain shelf-life and out-time; identify expired material and file non-conformance reports.
• Collaborate with team leads to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain tools, molds, machines, and work area cleanliness.
• Support flow of parts between operations and locations.
• Participate in process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
