Job summary

GE Aerospace in Cincinnati, OH, seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer focusing on coatings manufacturing readiness. You will drive producibility, cost reduction, and supplier coordination for complex aerospace components, ensuring safe, on-time, and cost-effective delivery with advanced surface engineering technologies.

The role requires coatings knowledge, ability to read drawings and callouts, and collaboration with Design Engineering and DoD stakeholders. Relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent (4+ years experience in related fields)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or Business Operations
• Must be a US citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 15%

Responsibilities

• Lead coatings and surface engineering initiatives (thermal spray, EB-PVD, diffusion coatings, TBCs) across design and production.
• Develop coating processes, masking/tools, fixtures, and production coating operations.
• Implement Design for Producibility for coated components and conduct feasibility and lead time estimates.
• Assist supplier and internal teams to address quality, delivery, and cost risks early in programs.
• Manage cross-functional schedules and ensure on-time, cost-effective execution.
