Job summary

GE Aerospace's Edison Works seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer for Coatings Manufacturing Readiness to drive producibility, cost reduction, and on-time delivery of coated aerospace components. You will apply coating methods (thermal spray, EB-PVD, diffusion coatings) and lead design-for-producibility efforts with Design Engineering.

You will partner with Supply Chain and DoD program offices to plan routes, schedules, and quality plans, mentor teams, and resolve process and supplier issues while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field; or high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Science.
• Minimum 3 years in Manufacturing Engineering or related roles.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Develop coating process methods, masking/tooling and fixtures for production.
• Lead Design for Producibility efforts for coated components and assemblies.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and DoD program managers to plan schedules, costs and quality plans.
• Interface with DoD customers and ensure contractual obligations and clear communication.
