Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer – Coatings Manufacturing Readiness to drive design for manufacturability, coatings development, and supplier coordination for complex aerospace components. You will ensure readiness, quality, timeliness, and cost targets while improving producibility and reducing risk.

The role requires hands-on coating process development, interaction with DoD customers, and collaboration across Design Engineering and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or high school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
U.S. citizen and ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

Leverage coatings and surface engineering expertise to develop coating processes and raise producibility.
Collaborate with Design Engineering to implement Design for Producibility for coated components and tooling.
Develop coating process schedules, routers, and quality plans; estimate should-costs and lead times.
Support Edison Works Supply Chain in program reviews and supplier-related activities.
Assess risks in coating adhesion, thickness, and metallurgical quality; help solve problems to keep schedules and costs.
Mentor colleagues and lead small projects with moderate risk.
