Job summary

GE Aerospace Edison Works in Evendale seeks a Sub-Section Manager for Materials Science & Engineering - Coatings. You will lead a team of coatings and materials engineers, drive program execution, and ensure readiness from lab to factory while applying GE’s lean FLIGHT DECK principles.

You will manage hiring, performance, and career growth, and partner with production to mature processes and deliver projects on time and budget. A US security clearance and citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline with minimum 8 years experience.
• Minimum 6 years in an engineering/technical discipline with leadership responsibilities.
• US security clearance eligibility and US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop coatings and materials engineers; hire, manage performance, balance workload.
• Communicate goals and processes for materials technologies across programs.
• Plan, resource, and deliver projects on cost and schedule; manage risks.
• Mature processes from lab to factory, coordinating with manufacturing and QA teams.
