Job summary

GE Aerospace in Evendale, OH is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer – Fabrication Manufacturing Readiness to drive design-for-manufacturing, producibility, and cost reduction for aerospace components and assemblies. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in fabrication, preferably aerospace.
• Proven experience leading manufacturing readiness projects for new products.

Responsibilities

• Drive manufacturing readiness for complex fabrication processes from concept to production launch.
• Collaborate with design, supply chain, and quality to ensure DFM/DFA.
• Develop and implement robust manufacturing plans with process flow, equipment, tooling, and layouts.
• Lead technical reviews on fabrication capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
• Conduct process capability studies and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies and automation.
• Develop and manage project schedules and budgets for readiness activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Travel to support manufacturing sites and suppliers as needed.
