Job summary

Aerotek in Madison, WI is seeking a CNC Operator to join a precision machining team. You will operate 35 axis CNC mills (Doosan, Mori) to produce aerospace components to tight tolerances, reading blueprints, editing CNC code, and performing setups.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of machine operating experience in manufacturing or machining.
• Hands-on experience operating CNC mills with 35-axis equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC setup and operation including loading programs.
• Ability to edit CNC code and adjust feeds and speeds under guidance.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, height gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate 35 axis CNC mills, including Doosan and Mori machines, to produce aerospace parts to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand part requirements, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Read and edit CNC code as needed, adjusting feeds and speeds to optimize performance.
• Perform machine setup tasks, including loading programs, setting tools, and fixtures.
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts and verify dimensional accuracy.
• Monitor machining operations and adjust to meet quality standards and production goals.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on machines and tooling.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow safety guidelines.
• Participate in training and progression through machining levels.
