Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Machinist / Machine Operator to set up and run 3- to 5-axis CNC mills for electronic manufacturing and PCB components in a climate-controlled facility. You will independently prepare tooling, fixturing, and programs, read blueprints, and verify parts with precision measuring tools.

The role requires accuracy and safety, with opportunities to work with stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium.

Qualifications

• CNC machinist with strong setup capabilities; 5 years preferred.
• Independently set up CNC mills: tooling, fixturing, offsets, program adjustments.
• Experience operating 3- to 5-axis mills in production or job shop.
• Ability to read blueprints accurately.
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and QC tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; comfortable with machining tools.
• Experience with stainless steel, aluminum, titanium.
• Background in job shop, automotive, or medical manufacturing environments.
• Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3- to 5-axis CNC mills to produce precision parts for electronics and PCB components.
• Independently set up machines, including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and program verification.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand tolerances and machining requirements.
• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers and other QC devices; verify dimensions.
• Perform in-process inspections and adjust parameters to maintain quality.
• Work with various metals (stainless steel, aluminum, titanium).
• Operate CNC equipment safely; follow procedures and shop practices.
• Use power and hand tools to support machining operations and finishing.
• Collaborate with trainers during onboarding; then work more independently.
• Adhere to orientation, policies, safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and participate in on-site interviews.
