The candidate should have 5+ years of hands-on CNC experience, GD&T expertise, and the ability to read engineering drawings and CAD/CAM files.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with large-format or gantry-style CNC milling machines.
• Strong knowledge of CNC control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files.
• Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Familiarity with F. Zimmermann milling machines (e.g., FZ Series).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and monitor CNC milling machines, incl. Zimmermann portal/gantry systems.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to determine machining requirements.
• Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code/M-code).
• Perform tool selection, tool changes, and offsets for dimensional accuracy.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process quality checks with precision instruments.
• Identify and resolve machine faults, tooling issues, and program errors.
• Maintain production records, inspection logs, and machine utilization reports.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and collaborate with engineers and quality teams.
