Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; technical OR associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on CNC machining experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient reading of engineering drawings and CAD/CAM data.
• Experience with large-format/gantry CNC milling machines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and monitor CNC milling machines, focusing on Zimmermann portal/gantry systems.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files for machining requirements.
• Write/edit CNC programs (G-code/M-code) for complex geometries.
• Perform tool changes and offsets to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process quality checks with precision instruments.
• Identify and resolve machine faults, tooling issues, and program errors.
• Maintain production records, inspection logs, and machine utilization reports.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
