Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Wauseon, OH to lead CNC process development and continuous improvement for aerospace precision machining. You will program, optimize toolpaths, and advance routing while collaborating with Quality, Planning, and Operations to improve cycle time, yield, and throughput in an AS9100 environment.

The role requires hands-on work at the machines, strong GD&T knowledge, and experience with PPAP/NPI activities.

Qualifications

Hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in a CNC machining environment.
Proven CNC programming capabilities for mill/turn and multi-axis machines.
Experience with Mastercam toolpath creation, post-processing and simulation.

Responsibilities

Develop, write, and validate CNC programs for mill/turn and multi-axis machines.
Optimize toolpaths in Mastercam with post-processing and simulation.
Lead process and routing optimization initiatives to reduce cycle time.
Collaborate with Quality on first-article inspection and PPAP/NPI.
Troubleshoot deviations and drive root-cause corrective actions.
Standardize cutting parameters, tooling, and work instructions.
Support capacity planning and capital justification for CNC assets.
Read and apply GD&T and blueprint requirements.
Collaborate with Planning and Operations to align with schedules.
