Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support process development, quoting, and production within a complex CNC machining environment in Winsted, CT. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, quoting experience, and proficiency with MasterCam or Siemens NX software, contributing to high-precision components from prototype to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in CNC machining or precision manufacturing; airfoil experience required.
• Proficiency in MasterCam or Siemens NX for programming.
• Solid GD&T knowledge and ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience in quoting, estimating, and process planning.
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or CadKey.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Broad knowledge of machine tools and process routing.

Responsibilities

• Determine manufacturing methods, sequences, tooling, and materials for precision parts.
• Prepare quotes for complex parts, including time studies and cost analyses.
• Provide process engineering support to production with detailed docs.
• Apply time standards to machining operations and input routing data into ERP.
• Develop and document CNC processes using MasterCam or Siemens NX.
• Use CAD tools to design fixtures and create blueprints.
• Collaborate with machinists, programmers, quality staff to improve manufacturability and tolerances.
• Support NPI and continuous improvement in high-mix, low-volume environment.
• Coordinate with local vendors for outside processing, ensuring quality and delivery.
