Job summary

Assistance Technique Internationale (ATI) in Appleton, WI, seeks a CNC Machinist/Machine Operator for a weekend nights shift (Fri–Sun, 5pm–5am). You will operate vertical turning centers to produce aerospace components in a clean, climate-controlled environment.

Ideal candidates have basic machining knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure parts meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of transferrable industry experience.
• Basic reading, math and measurement comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets dimension drawings, sketches, tool setup sheets and manufacturing instructions for machining operations and setups.
• Receives work instructions, operation sheets, setup sheets, 1st piece and in-process check sheets from supervision.
• Uses operating drawings to determine dimensions, travels and tolerance to be maintained.
• Oversees and controls the operation of machining centers in the machining of forgings from various super alloys with support from engineering and programming departments.
• Uses precision measuring devices (micrometers, dial indicators, Vernier scales, gauges) to verify dimensions and finishes.
• Loads and unloads pieces using an overhead hoist.
• Exercises care in handling material before and after machining.
