Job summary

ATI, Appleton, WI, is seeking a CNC Machinist/Machine Operator to run vertical turning centers that produce aerospace components in a climate-controlled, safety-focused shop. This 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 2:30pm-12:30am) includes a $1/hour shift differential and on-the-job training; you’ll read drawings, perform setups, and inspect parts with precision.

A successful candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work with cross-functional teams to ensure parts meet specs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a transferrable industry.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and setups.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Receives work instructions and operation sheets for intended operations.
• Reads drawings, setup sheets, and process instructions to perform machining.
• Uses measuring devices to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Oversees machining centers, forgings, and supports engineering and programming.
• Loads/unloads pieces using an overhead hoist and handles material safely.
