Job summary

ATI is seeking a CNC Machinist/Machine Operator in Appleton, WI to operate vertical turning centers for aerospace components in a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled environment.

Join a safety‑driven, high‑performing team; you’ll read drawings, set up tools, and ensure parts meet precise dimensions on first article and in-process checks. This is a 2nd shift role, Monday–Thursday, 2:30 pm–12:30 am, with training provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a transferrable industry with transferrable skills.
• Basic reading, math, and measurement comprehension; read instructions and perform measurements.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Receives work instructions and sheets indicating operations.
• Reads and interprets drawings, tool setup sheets, and manufacturing instructions.
• Uses measurements to maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
• Oversees and controls machining centers for forgings from super alloys.
• Uses precision measuring devices to check dimensions and finishes.
• Loads/unloads pieces with an overhead hoist.
• Handle material with care before and after machining.
