Job summary

Chromalloy in Carson City, NV seeks a CNC Operator to program, set up, and operate CNC and conventional tooling for aerospace components. You’ll ensure quality, perform inspections, and maintain production standards in a safe environment.

This role offers 1st shift hours (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) with a potential $1–$2/hour shift differential and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Prior CNC experience and blueprints reading are preferred to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years' CNC setup/operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and travelers.
• Proficient using gauges and precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork in English.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, tool, and operate CNC and conventional machine tools.
• Create and install tooling, cutters, grinding wheels, electrodes, and shop aids as required.
• Adjust machine offsets and modify programs to meet production needs.
• Inspect parts with gauges and set specifications to ensure conformance.
• Read travelers, blueprints, and work instructions; document outcomes.
• Troubleshoot machining issues to maintain efficiency and safety.
• Maintain 5S and clean, organized work area; log production data.
