Job summary

Chromalloy in Carson City, NV is seeking a CNC Operator to program, set up, and operate CNC equipment to manufacture precision aerospace components. This hands-on role emphasizes machine setup, tooling, and adherence to production standards.

You'll inspect parts, interpret drawings, and maintain a safe, 5S-compliant work area, while collaborating with teammates and supporting continuous improvement. Overnight shift with differential and a sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints, travelers, and work instructions.
• Proficient with gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and math.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, tool, and operate CNC and conventional machines.
• Create and install tooling and shop aids as required.
• Adjust offsets and modify programs to meet production needs.
• Inspect parts using gauges and ensure conformance to specs.
• Read travelers, blueprints, and other technical docs.
• Perform secondary operations like deburring and grit blasting.
• Maintain machine maintenance and keep equipment in good condition.
• Update production logs and manufacturing documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving.
