Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) through Summit Machine, LLC is seeking a Level 2 Machinist in Ontario, CA to operate multiple CNC lathe machines, set up fixtures and cutting tools, and adjust CNC programs and offsets.

You will inspect parts and assist with basic preventative maintenance while maintaining area cleanliness. Ideal candidates have 2-4 years as machinists, aerospace manufacturing experience preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 - 4 years of machinist experience is required.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing, automotive, or mechanics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates multiple 2-5 axis CNC lathe machines simultaneously.
• Machine setup: preparing and setting up fixtures and cutting tools; loading and adjusting CNC programs and offsets.
• Performs inspections and basic preventative maintenance (coolant, lube, area cleanliness); uses advanced inspection tools and techniques; reads prints; understands G and M codes; basic GD&T.
