Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in North Hollywood, CA is seeking a Level II machinist to operate 2-5 axis CNC cells and related equipment. The role requires setup, program loading, basic offsets, and quality inspections in a high-precision environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in aerospace/automotive machining or related industry.
• Experience with aerospace/defense environments.
• Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and other aerospace materials.
• Ability to diagnose tool, material, and quality-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and standalone machines per drawings and work instructions.
• Load tooling, fixtures, and adjust basic tool offsets and material.
• Load and run established CNC programs; perform minor adjustments as needed.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T callouts; document inspection results.
