Job summary

Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) invites a part-time CAD Modeling Intern to support the Flight Dynamics Research Facility at NASA Langley. You will develop free flight and oscillation models, focusing on testing with controlled geometries and rapid prototyping. This onsite role requires on-site presence at Langley and U.S.

Qualifications

Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing mechanical or aerospace engineering.
Minimum 2 years of CAD modeling experience or 2 CAD coursework semesters.
Experience with .igs or .stp as well as native CAD formats.
Ability to work onsite at NASA Langley Research Center.

Responsibilities

Develop CAD models in .igs/.stp and native formats for flight dynamics tests.
Create CAD models for oscillation configurations with mounting interfaces.
Design geometry to accommodate thermal inset fasteners for mounting to the balance sting.
Produce CAD solid models for wind tunnel models using rapid prototyping methods.
