Job summary

Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) is seeking an Engineering Draftsman to develop and maintain engineering drawings and documentation for aerospace/defense systems. You will translate design inputs into accurate drawings and ensure configuration accuracy throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires 2D/3D CAD proficiency, GD&T knowledge, and strong attention to detail, collaborating with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, QA, and PM teams. Reports to Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with drafting experience.
• At least 2 years creating engineering drawings in mechanical or aerospace environments.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD with SolidWorks experience.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ASME drawing standards.
• Detail-oriented with revision control and BOM experience.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain detailed part and assembly drawings.
• Develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Prepare drawing packages and BOMs per ATSC procedures.
• Apply dimensions, tolerances, notes, and finishes.
• Incorporate engineering changes and manage revisions.
• Support release of data in SolidWorks PDM.
• Check drawings for completeness and draft standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and manufacturing to resolve issues.
• Support prototyping, production transition, and documentation updates.
• Maintain organized engineering records and configuration management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
