Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aircraft engines and aerospace systems, is seeking a Blender/Bench Mechanic for its 2nd shift in Springdale, AR. The role involves blending, deburring, assembly and cleaning of aerospace parts in a compliance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED) with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Auto body experience is preferred.
• Experience with parts or equipment requiring fine precision and hand manipulation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine work requirements on the part.
• Prepare parts for welding/machining by blending and deburring per specifications.
• Set-up and operate machines with abrasive belts, wheels, or disks for blending and deburring.
• Inspect parts to verify conformance with specifications.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Perform assembly, disassembly, blast, braze, sizing, heat treat, and cleaning as instructed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep the work area clean.
• Demonstrate technical aptitude and desire to learn new skills.
