Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Assembly Technician C for the 2nd shift at the East Hartford, CT site. You will assemble and disassemble production gas turbine engines, modules and subassemblies, following blueprints and engineering bulletins to meet strict requirements.

Responsibilities include setting up tooling, performing balance checks, using precision gauges, and inspecting parts for proper installation. You may assist with overhaul projects and collaborate on corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Trades training achieving A&P license or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble gas turbine engines, modules and subassemblies.
• Follow work instructions including blueprints, operation sheets and engineering bulletins to ensure compliance.
• Set up and use appropriate tools and fixtures to perform tasks.
• Perform static balance checks on rotating engine parts as required by procedures.
• Use precision measuring instruments to inspect assembly dimensions.
• Coordinate parts for processing through overhaul or repair operations.
• Assist with engineering changes and corrective actions as needed.

Education
