Job summary

Janicki Industries, Layton facility, onsite in Layton, Utah, seeks an automation-focused engineer to drive improvements in assembly, machining, and inspection processes for aerospace manufacturing. You will develop high-level and detailed project plans, manage schedules and budgets, ensure quality requirements, and identify automation opportunities within software processes.

Experience with electromechanical systems, PLCs, SAP ERP, and CAD tools is advantageous.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace engineering or related field.
Experience programming for electromechanical systems, automation, and software applications.
Experience with SAP ERP software and CATIA/NX CAD software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement improvements to automation in assembly, machining and inspection.
Develops and executes project plans, including managing schedules and budgets.
Completes and understands all quality requirements for projects.
Manages project scope and performs risk assessments.
Identify opportunities for automation within software processes.
Identify bugs and quality issues in development, service or business processes.
Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.
Provides after-hours technical support and troubleshooting for automation systems and equipment supporting production.
Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
