Job summary

Flytrex is seeking an experienced, hands-on Assembly & Manufacturing Manager to lead our manufacturing and assembly operations in Pilot Point, TX. This role will oversee production, assembly, testing, conformity, and manufacturing quality for the Flytrex UAS, while building the team and processes to support growth.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Flight Operations, and our Tel Aviv HQ to manage configuration control, transition new designs into production, and drive

Qualifications

• 7+ years in aerospace, UAS, robotics, or advanced electromechanical manufacturing.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude for complex systems.
• Experience leading production or technical teams.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing and workshop operations, set priorities and staffing.
• Develop and coach assembly technicians.
• Own production execution and ensure conformance to design and quality.
• Establish standard procedures, work instructions, and traceability.
• Ensure QMS compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Drive RCAs and corrective actions for issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering on NPI and design transitions.
• Provide DFMA feedback to improve manufacturability.
• Oversee sub-assembly and final assembly.
• Maintain tooling and assets.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Tel Aviv HQ.
• Track KPIs: output, cycle time, first-pass yield.
• Support safety, quality, and scalability.
• Train and support maintenance team.
