Flytrex Inc. seeks an experienced Assembly & Manufacturing Manager to lead production, assembly, testing, conformity, and quality for the Flytrex UAS in Pilot Point, TX.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in aerospace, UAS, robotics, automotive, or advanced electromechanical manufacturing with leadership experience.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience assembling and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Experience managing manufacturing, production, workshop, or assembly operations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality, configuration control, inspection, and traceability; problem-solving focus.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily manufacturing and workshop operations, including production planning, workflow, staffing, priorities, and performance.
• Manage and develop assembly technicians through training, coaching, and performance management.
• Own production execution and ensure aircraft are assembled, tested, documented, and delivered to spec.
• Establish and maintain standard assembly procedures, work instructions, build records, inspections, and traceability.
• Ensure compliance with configuration control, QMS, conformity, and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate non-conforming materials and drive corrective actions and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineering on NPI, engineering changes, and transition designs to repeatable production.
• Provide DFMA feedback to improve quality, reliability, manufacturability, and efficiency.
• Oversee sub-assembly and final assembly activities across structural, electrical, mechanical, and system levels.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, jigs, workstations, and processes; manage equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and HQ to maintain component availability and support changes.
• Track KPIs: production output, cycle time, first-pass yield, defects, rework, on-time delivery.
• Drive safety, quality, flow efficiency, throughput, and scalability improvements.
• Conduct final functional testing, system validation, and production readiness prior to release.
• Maintain a safe, organized manufacturing environment and support hands-on testing and investigations.
