Job summary

Flytrex is seeking an experienced Assembly & Manufacturing Manager to lead our manufacturing and assembly operations in Pilot Point, TX. You will oversee production, testing, conformity, and manufacturing quality for the Flytrex UAS, while developing teams, processes, and capabilities for growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in aerospace, UAS, robotics, automotive, or advanced electromechanical manufacturing with leadership experience.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Experience leading manufacturing, production, workshop, or assembly operations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, BOMs, and technical docs.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing quality, configuration control, inspection, documentation, and traceability.
• Experience with root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing and workshop operations including production planning and staffing.
• Develop and coach assembly technicians through training and performance management.
• Own production execution and ensure assembly, testing, documentation, and delivery meet design and quality requirements.
• Establish and maintain standardized procedures, work instructions, and traceability.
• Ensure compliance with configuration control, QMS, conformity and regulatory requirements.
• Drive NPIs and transition designs into repeatable production processes with Engineering.
• Provide DFMA feedback to improve manufacturability and efficiency.
• Oversee sub-assembly and final assembly activities including integration.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, jigs, and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain production equipment and calibrated tools.
