Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own post-processing of additively manufactured components, driving process improvements and DFM input for AM designs. You will coordinate with operators, quality technicians, and engineering to ensure robust, producible hardware from print through delivery.

The role requires 2+ years in aerospace, a Mechanical/Aerospace engineering degree, and readiness to work onsite in Huntsville, AL with possible after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in aerospace or similar industries.
• Exposure to laser powder bed fusion printing or similar.

Responsibilities

• Own the completion of AM components at the post-processing level.
• Support and help develop new workcenter setup for post-processing of AM components.
• Support communication and DFM to improve additive designs.
• Participate in company process definition, documentation, and improvement teams.
• Develop manufacturing work instructions to clearly define the full process from print to delivery.
• Closely manage cost, quality, build sequence, and schedule of hardware throughout the entire manufacturing process.
• Perform root cause analyses when non-conformances and escapes are identified and deploy corrective actions.
• Ability to support operations onsite in Huntsville, AL and during off hours (if required) via phone or online tools
