Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on additive manufacturing. You will translate engineering intent into AM flight hardware, educate engineers on design for additive manufacturing, and own the post-processing of AM components including process documentation and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in aerospace or similar industries.
• Exposure to laser powder bed fusion printing or similar.

Responsibilities

• Own the completion of Additively Manufactured (AM) components at the post-processing (back-end) level.
• Develop manufacturing work instructions from print to delivery.
• Closely manage cost, quality, build sequence, and schedule of hardware throughout the manufacturing process.
• Perform root cause analyses when non-conformances and escapes are identified and deploy corrective actions.
• Provide onsite support in Huntsville, AL and off hours if required.
