Job summary

Electra is seeking a Staff Aeroacoustics Engineer to lead the development and validation of our noise-prediction toolchain, analyze the EL9’s acoustic footprint, and design noise-reduction features on the aircraft. You will own acoustic analyses across all phases of development, from concept through certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering; graduate degrees preferred.
• 2+ years in acoustics engineering.
• Strong understanding of electric propulsor performance and aeroacoustics.
• Familiarity with aircraft noise sources and analysis methods.
• Experience with CFD or vortex panel methods.
• Experience with ANOPP2 or PSUWOPWOP or similar tools.
• Familiarity with FAA Part 23/25 acoustic certification requirements.
• Clear communication of technical results.
• Excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead exterior and interior acoustics modeling and analysis.
• Perform noise reduction trade studies including design modifications and flight trajectories.
• Manage contractors and interface with academic partners developing acoustic tools and supporting analyses.
• Support ground and flight test activities, including acoustic testing and data reduction.
• Support Electra's commercial team with customer-specific acoustic analyses.
• Prepare and present at internal technical reviews.
