Electra in Manassas, VA, is seeking a Staff Aeroacoustics Engineer to lead development and validation of its noise-prediction toolchain and analyze the EL9 acoustic footprint. You will own acoustic analyses across aircraft development phases and design noise-reduction features, working with CFD/vortex methods and collaborating with suppliers and academic partners.

A Bachelor's in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is required; 2+ years in acoustics, with Part 23/25 familiarity, and strong

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
• 2+ years of acoustics engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of aeroacoustics and aircraft noise sources.
• Experience with CFD or vortex panel methods and related tools.
• Familiarity with FAA Part 23 or Part 25 acoustic certification requirements.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical results through reports and presentations.

Aufgaben

• Lead exterior and interior acoustics modeling and analysis.
• Lead trade studies on noise reduction and trajectory modifications.
• Manage contractors and interface with academic partners.
• Support ground and flight tests including data reduction and test-to-analysis correlation.
• Support Electra's commercial team with customer-specific acoustic analyses.
• Prepare and present at internal technical reviews.
